A few weeks back in this space I raised concerns about volunteers and, how, perhaps, there arenu2019t as many hands popping up so communitty initiatives can gain momentum to make profound impacts.

The world is spinning to a different tune these days.

It seems with new technology and the multiple entertainment levels bidding for our attention, especially online volunteering u2014 there seems to be the perceived notion that maybe it isnu2019t needed u2014 has gone by the wayside.

Like the fax machine, Sony Walkmans and fashionable mullets.
